Cub Scouts
The Goal of Cub Scouts is to provide fun experiences for our boys (and their families), teach them useful skills, make great memories that they will share with their family and friends, and above all reinforce the values that have allowed the Boys Scouts to be an enduring organization.
Warren Pack 182
Cub Scout Pack 182 of Warren, NJ was established in May of 1995, and is chartered by The Warren Township Volunteer Fire Department, comprised of The Mt. Bethel Vol. Fire Company #1, The Mt. Horeb Vol. Fire Company #2, Community Vol. Fire Company #3, and The Washington Valley Vol. Fire Company #4.
We are part of the "Pioneer District" of the "Patriots Path Council (council #358)."
Pack 182 is the only Cub Scout pack in Warren Township, NJ, comprised of 6 dens from all four of our Warren Schools: Angelo L. Tomaso, Central, Mount Horeb and Woodland.
We have more information here: Adventures in Scouting with Pack 182.
Meetings and Activities
The Dens are small groups (usually 7-12 boys) that meet with their adult partners and leaders to complete achievements, ranks and badges. Most Den meetings are held once a month depending on the group's needs. Along with the Den meetings, there is a monthly Pack meeting where the Cub Scouts get together to learn, create, exercise or figure out ways to help out in our community.
In addition to Den and Pack meetings, here are some of our yearly activities:
- Pinewood Derby
- Blue & Gold Dinner and Ceremony
- Klondike Derby
- Fishing Derby
- Picnics
- Somerset Patriots Outing
- Memorial Day Parade
- Camp-outs and campfires
- Community Service Projects
- Wildlife tours
- Public Safety visits and preparedness
These trips are incredible ways for the boys and their families to learn and grow through scouting.
